After the separation from the three-year-old mother, the inhabitants of the 80s of the 19th century Kobuleti actively contacted the society spreading the literacy in Tbilisi. Famous public and political figures Gulo Kaikatsishvili, Dede Nizharadze, Ited Tsilosani and others. With the help of Zakaria Tchitchinadze and Ioseb Imedashvili, in 1895, the foundation of the first Georgian public school in Kobuleti is established. Later the establishment of secular schools starts in villages; In 1912, in the village of Kobuleti, in 1915 in the village of Khutsubani. Today there are about 6 dozen public and private schools in Kobuleti.
